Prospera Business Network will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony at Farmers Insurance on Thursday, August 3rd, 2017. 

Opening remarks from Prospera and light refreshments provided by host will accompany this ceremony. This event is free of charge and will be held Thursday, August 3rd, 2017 at 1001 W Oak St Ste 205, with networking beginning at 4:30 p.m. and the program lasting from 4:30-6:00 p.m. For more information, contact Christina Hafen at (406) 587-3113.

Join us for a business tour of three woman-owned businesses. Each business owner will share her experience with starting, operating, and growing her business and there will be time for networking and shopping!

The perfect way to spend a Thursday afternoon!

12:15PM - Meet at Prospera Business Network (2015 Charlotte Street, Suite 1, Bozeman 59718) for carpooling
12:30PM - Leave for White Sulphur Springs
2:00PM - Begin with a tour of Red Ants Pants with Sarah Calhoun
3:00PM -  Head over to Bar 47 with Kimberly Deschene 
3:30PM - End with a tour of 2 Bassett Brewery with Chris Hedrich

Power Up: Create Your Business, Financial, and Marketing Plan - Aug 2017

This course consists of three classes (Aug. 8th, 15th, 22nd). Class meets every Tuesday for three weeks, starting Aug. 8, 2017.

Class is 9:00AM-12:00PM

Class will be held at:
Montana Manufacturing Extension Center (MMEC)
2310 University Way Building 2
Montana State University
Bozeman, MT 59717

Registration: $175 for Prospera Members, $200 non members. This registration amount covers all three class days.
$75 for a second attendee (business partner)

*We reserve the right to cancel a class if minimum enrollments are not met.  In which case, all course fees will be fully refunded.

This course has specifically been designed for individuals who are brand new to business, wanting to start a business, and new business owners or individuals looking to start a second business.  Please bring a laptop with you to this class (if you do not have access to one, please send a message to or call 406-587-3113)

What you will learn:

- Clarity and fresh perspective about starting a new business

- Solid first draft of your Business Plan

- In-depth understanding of your industry and competition

- Documented sales projections and marketing strategy based on industry research & geography

- Projected cash flow for one year

- Shared experience with other local entrepreneurs and subject matter experts

- Valuable resources and processes that support your business planning journey

If you are unfamiliar with or would like more practice with these programs, we recommend taking the following online classes prior to or during the Power Up class:

a. Introduction to Microsoft Excel

b. Introduction to Microsoft Word

*Due to high demand for business counseling services, the MWBC requires individuals looking into starting a brand new business or business owners who have been "in business" less than six months, to complete this course prior to scheduling a one-on-one counseling appointment.
