The 2017 Prospera Awards Nomination Process

Award nominations may be submitted by anyone wishing to highlight a business or individual’s exceptional contributions to our region’s business community. Please complete and submit the form below or return the nomination form via mail or e-mail. Self-nominations are welcome, or you are encouraged to collaborate with your nominee on the nomination details. Multiple award nominations are allowed; please submit separate forms for each nomination.

Award finalists in each category will be notified in late September. Winners in each category will be announced during the awards program the evening of The Prospera Awards event, Thursday, November 9, 2017. Winners must be present at the event, or agree to arrange for a representative to attend on their behalf.

Nomination form deadline is 5:00 p.m. Friday September 8, 2017

Award Categories

INNOVATOR OF THE YEAR
A business recognized for creating new, innovative, sustainable, or value-added products or services, or an innovative business model. This includes value-added agriculture, manufacturing, or technology products, and any innovative programs or services, including proprietary programs within the business.

ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR
An individual or team recognized for exceptional performance with their early-stage business. The nominee(s) must have primary responsibility for the recent performance of the company. Measurements could include: establishment of new product line, unique business model, significant growth in revenues, outstanding leadership, steady job growth, sustainable business practices, overcoming obstacles or hardships, community involvement, etc.

MONTANA WBC ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR
An individual or team recognized for exceptional performance with their fledgling business enterprise. The nominee must be/have been a client of Prospera’s Montana Women’s Business Center program. Measurements could include: establishment of new product line, unique business model, significant growth in revenues, outstanding leadership, steady job growth, sustainable business practices, overcoming obstacles or hardships, community involvement, etc.

ECONOMIC LEADERSHIP AWARD
An individual leader
 (from government, non-profit or business) who has made a significant contribution to the economic development of our area.

BUSINESS OF THE YEAR
An established business (in business for five or more years) recognized for its significant contribution to the economic development of our area. Measurements could include: steady job creation, significant revenues from out of state, support for community events/organizations, sustainable business practices, etc.
